FAQ's

Think of it as a celebration of South Africa’s finest brews, where craft beer meets live music, top-notch food, and good vibes under the open sky. Come for the hops, stay for the high-fives!

Our festival calls the beautiful Pretoria National Botanical Gardens home. Because even beer deserves a fancy backdrop.

This is an 18+ affair, with special allowances made for children between the ages of 2 and 12 to hangout in clamber club for the day.

Yes! Tickets are online only and they disappear faster than a cold IPA on a hot day. Limited tickets may be available at the gate if you’re lucky… but don’t leave it to chance.

Your golden ticket gets you:

  • Festival entry (obviously)
  • A branded festival glass to sip in style
  • Access to the very best brewer selection, live music and entertainment

Beer and food are bought separately using cash or card at your chosen brewery stand because variety is the spice of life!

No tokens, no stress. Buy your beer directly from the brewers using cash or card, and sample the magic one pint at a time.

Loads! We’re talking 150–200 beers across local and guest breweries. Enough hops to make even a hophead giddy.

Absolutely. A curated selection of food trucks and vendors will be on hand to keep your stomach as happy as your taste buds.

Sorry, outside food and drink are a no-go. But we’ve got free water stations to keep you hydrated between hops.

Nope. Strictly 18+, because this is a grown-up playground of pints and passion.

We recommend:

  • Your ticket (digital or printed)
  • Valid ID
  • Sunscreen & a hat (don’t let the sun steal your shine)
  • Comfortable shoes (for all that festival roaming)
  • A card or cash.

Yes! So bring your sun hats, shades, and a sense of adventure.

Rain or shine, the party goes on. Think of it as a free misty IPA experience.

Nope. Just your Capital Craft Beer Fest ticket gets you a ride to the party.

Yes, there’s usually parking near the venue. But for a stress-free arrival, we suggest Gautrain, ride-sharing, or lifts.

Yes, but only if you contact support@howler.co.za. Because even beer lovers need backup plans.

There will be 200 fresh beers on tap, featuring a wide variety of local and international craft brews.

The festival has dedicated kids area with activities to keep younger guests entertained. Children between the ages of 2 and 12 are required to be in Clamber Club. The festival has a strictly no 13-17 year old policy.

We strongly encourage the use of e-hailing or the free Gautrain shuttles for a safe and convenient travel experience.
